Brasserie LefebvreThe Barbãr will take you to the very origins of the brewing art. For centuries, the only sugar known to man was honey, it was therefore largely used by brewers to create what would become the beer that we know today. In respect to this brewing tradition, the Belgian brewery Lefebvre offers a beer brewed with a great deal of honey instead of sugar: the Honey Barbãr. This is how this beer was born. Unfortunately it is not very well-known to the public despite its great tasting qualities. This beer pours an orange colour with copper glints. When poured in its Barbãr Beer Mug, it releases sweet aromas of malt, yeast and honey. The yeast gives a spicy impression to the nose whereas malts and honey provide sweet and fruity sensations. One can taste malty and honey flavours along with hints of yeast featuring spicy tones. The beer is so sweet that one will forget about the alcohol contained inside. When time flies, it is sometimes important to go back to the roots. This beverage, formerly named “The well-earned rest” is a rare Lager giving you the chance to do so. Product #: 1034stars, based on 27 reviewsRegular price: 2.62.6Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie HaachtIn the past, this beer was brewed by SPA under the name of « The Rince Cochon », it is now brewed by the Haacht Brasserie, in Belgium, such as Primus or Tongerlo beers. The character of this strong lager lies in a pale yellow body that usually evokes light Pils. Yet, it has a 8.5° ABV, making it very different from Pils and other Lagers. It also displays a white medium head that has a good retention on the glass rim. It features light malt aromas along with light bitter-sweet hints of lemon. The alcohol is also noticeable and does not leave any doubt about the distinctive character of this beer. In the mouth, you’ll sense sweet and full flavours with malt and fruity notes. To conclude, this beer is quite sugary, only the sensation of the alcohol breaks its sweetness.  This is a lager featuring very few hops that will please amateurs of full but strong beers. Indeed, sweet flavours of malt balance the alcoholic presence in order to offer an harmonious and very pleasant beer. Rince Cochon is a lager from Flanders that allies skillfully a tasty recipe and a commercially “offbeat” product. This beer must be drunk responsibly due to its high ABV, and releases the most of its flavours when poured at 6°. It tastes delicious with a plate of delicacies or as an aperitif.Product #: 10744stars, based on 4 reviewsRegular price: 2.12.1Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brewdog BreweryIf you compile a list of breweries that have announced themselves at the brewery scene in the last few years, you will surely find the name of the Scottish brewery BrewDog. Established as recently as 2007, BrewDog is already brewing up a storm in the beer industry, coming up with some of the finest quality lager. Jack Hammer is one of the beers that make BrewDog a famous name. It is straw colored and comes with a frothy white head which is quite fragile and dispels away easily. The aroma is decidedly fruity, with some citrus hops thrown in for good measure. The taste has the distinct presence of fruity hops and malt. You will get the initial taste of sweetness and a biscuit flavor. This apparent sweetness disappears as the malt kicks in, bringing the beer to a bitter finish and aftertaste. There are touches of grapefruit and oranges as well. The finish is long and dry. Carbonation is soft. If you like your beer to be bitter, Jack Hammer will shake you awake! The bitter taste lingers so nicely that you will reach out for another once you have finish the bottle. This beer is definitely going to be your best friend for some time to come. Product #: 51254stars, based on 13 reviewsRegular price: 3.43.4Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie BeckBeck’s beer is a light and very pale Belgian ale and belongs to the category of German Pils beers. It is brewed since 1874 in respect of the 1516 German Purity Law that was passed to ensure ingredients quality and respect of the brewing process protocol. Beck’s is one of the most popular beers in Germany and is today worldwide sold. It features a golden yellow colour specific to the Pils style of today, and is covered by a thin white head slightly creamy. It challenges the nose with aromas of sweet and light malt, along with aromatized hops scents.  Beck’s displays in the mouth sweet and fruity flavours reminiscent of round malt, just before the palate senses the herbaceous flavours and the fine bitterness that hops has left. Brasserie De Proefbrouwerij With this Bloemenbier, discover one of the few beers produced by the excellent De Proef Brewery for itself. In fact, this Brewery is very well known for its very high quality output. However, it specialises in producing special or unusual brews for other breweries, or brewers who do not have the necessary equipment to make their recipes. It’s therefore rare to be able to enjoy products made by Brasserie De Proeffor itself. This Brewery has been responsible for outstanding recipes and beers that have become extremely rare owing to their success, but this success is often attributed to other breweries. Noteworthy, among others, products from the famous Danish Brewer Mikkeller or the partnership with the young Scottish brewery, Brewdog. Bloemenbier is a beer whose colouramber-hued topped with an abundant, but inconsistent head.On the nose, it is very rich and flowery: sublimely fruity and malty aromas appear with notes of caramel, honey, flowers and apricot. On the palate, this beer offers great sweetness with very fruity, sweet flavours. Abbaye d'AchelBrewed at the Monastery of Notre Dame de Saint Benoît in Belgium, Achel Blond is one of the few trappist beers in the world. In fact, to be granted the label of trappist beer, the beer must be brewed in a monastery under the monitoring of the monastic community from the Cistercian tradition. These are compelling conditions extremely hard to gather and only 9 breweries in the world do respect them and can therefore be named this way. But once you are granted this label, it means that your beer is of high quality and in total respect of the brewing world traditions. Compared to the other trappist beers, the taste of this Achel Blond is relatively simple and has less character, not that it makes it an any less pleasant beer. It pours an amber colour, round and sweet for the nose, where you can easily feel the esters and scents of smooth malt reminiscent of ripe grapes from late harvest. In the mouth, the entrance is pleasant, sharp, round and sweet with a hint of bitterness and acrity reminiscent of pink ripe grapefruit peel. It stays long in the mouth and one can notice a post-bitterness which is yet not too dry. A sweet honey and malty dominance can be perceived upon the whole. Discover another trappist beer: Westvleteren 12. For beer connoisseurs, this Trappist beer is considered as one of the best beers in the world! It is therefore a must-have if you want to become an expert and a true beer lover one day.Product #: 14624stars, based on 6 reviewsRegular price: 2.62.6Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

RodenbachThe Rodenbach brewery has a long and rich brewing history. It was established in 1820 by four brothers. It was Eugène Robenbach, one of their descendants, who brought the secrets of ageing in oak barrels from England. Owned by the Palm Jan Toyes brewery since 1998, they have worked to perpetuate this unique style of Belgian beer. The beer we drink today is still brewed in traditional barrels which are watertight thanks to reeds, some of which are over 150 years old! This blended beer is mainly composed of young beer (¾) and beer aged for two years in a barrel. It has a brown colour with ruby tints and develops a unique aromatic palate. The complex bouquet has an underlying bittersweet nature, blending recognisable touches of fruit and plums with woody, sharp and malty hints. This beer's unique flavours are the result of barrel ageing and the yeast ingredient, the same since the beginning. This beer is an invitation to a taste sensation. And if you visit the Belgian coast, try this Rouge des Flandres with a plate of small grey shrimps!  Product #: 2634stars, based on 10 reviewsRegular price: 22Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Brasserie 't IJMicro-brewery located in Amsterdam, the Brouwerij’t IJ grows more and more famous year after year. They offer a large range of beers that go from light blond to the abundantly hopped IPA. Therefore, this IPA should not fail to delight you. Poured in a orange-blond colour with slightly copper glints, this beer is already a hit just with its colour. The nice and long-lasting white head emphasizes its class. It challenges the nose with very pleasant aromas. Often with these types of beers, the use of fresh hopping is strongly perceptible. One will find aromas of exotic fruits, notes of pine and subtle hints of citrus fruits. In the mouth, the citrus fruits provide the beer with bitterness that grows sharper and sharper throughout the tasting. The whole is finely balanced; the bitter aspect of the beer does not keep the taster from enjoying all its flavours and aromas. This Dutch beer features such fine characteristics that you will be impressed, and if you like it, try out the Columbus, another beer from this brewery.Product #: 41804stars, based on 6 reviewsRegular price: 3.23.2Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock

Abbaye de ChimayThe Chimay Red Cap is a splendid amber beer. Brewed by the Cistercian monks from the Abbey of Scourmont, it is granted the title of trappist beer. That means that the monks themselves produce the beer inside the walls of the abbey. To give a fine anecdote, know that this is the oldest Chimay since the recipe has been elaborated by the Father Theodore during WWII. The result is incredible. Poured in its Chimay Beer Glass, it features an amber color with reddish copper glints and topped by a firm and unctuous head. In the nose, one can also smell the wonderful aromas that are released, such as aromas of fruit which develop during the brewing process and apricot. A trained nose will notice malty notes. The mouth is unexpected, dry flavours of caramel strike and are counterbalanced by the fine final bitterness. You can therefore have confidence in the quality of this beer. As a matter of fact, this beer perfectly marries with the cheeses directly produced in the abbey.Product #: 854stars, based on 12 reviewsRegular price: 1.81.8Available from: Saveur BièreCondition: New productsin stock
