Product Description
BIRRA DEL BORGO REALE
When you think of Italy you might think of pizza, fresh pasta or the tower of Pisa, but probably not of beer. In that case, we have a nice surprise about the Italian brewing world and would like to let you enjoy the beer ReAle by Birra Del Borgo.
This beer is inspired by the traditional English India Pale Ale and gets much of its potential from the hops, which bring a lot of aroma to the whole. The bright amber colour reveals surprising aromas of citrus and pepper, with flavours of spice, malt, citrus, caramel, yeast, hazelnut and hops.
As with most IPAs, the bitterness is quite intense, and this is calculated using an indicator called IBU for International Bitterness Unit. Here it is 41, which means it is a moderately bitter beer well within the range of palates new to this area. If you want something strong right away with insane bitterness, think Omnipollo's Nebuchadnezzar at 110 IBU, or Mikkeller's Ultramate at 1000 IBU!
For a good food pairing, an amber IPA will be ideal to taste with an Indonesian rice table, fries or with spicy Mexican dishes.
