A beer brewed following a recipe inspired by the monk brewers at the Abbaye du Val Dieu
Val Dieu Triple is a top-fermented Belgian beer brewed at the Abbaye du Val-Dieu in Aubel, following a recipe inspired by the one used by the monk brewers.
Limpid blonde and slightly cloudy in appearance, this beer has tiny bubbles and is capped with inviting, unctuous white head.
It has an ABV of 9%. The nose develops sharp and full-bodied aromas which suggest cereals, malt and hops.
In the mouth, sugary flavours emerge on the mid-palate, sometimes mingling alcohol, bitterness and mildness with hints of malt, hops, herbs, spices and cereals.
The finish ends on spicy flavours, and a fragrant, alcoholic bitterness is also present.
Excellent and very good as a digestive, Saveur Bière recommends you serve this beer to accompany a gourmet meal in its own proprietary Val Dieu glass.
