Discover a true classic Belgian Tripel brewed by Bosteels
Golden blond robe
Aromas of vanilla and citrus fruits
Hoppy and fruity notes
The Tripel Karmeliet is one of the greatest Belgian classics. According to the brewers, the recipe hasn’t changed since 1679. The Karmeliet used to be produced in the Carmelite abbey of Dendermonde. This top-fermented then refermented in bottle beer has always had the particularity of being brewed with three cereals: barley, wheat and oats. These ingredients gave the name to this exceptional beer.
This Belgian beer pours a golden robe topped by a creamy head. It challenges the nose with refined and complex aromas. One can sense aromas of vanilla and banana specific to the yeast used along with citrus fruit aromas coming from the Styrians, a kind of hops. In the mouth, one will sense the different cereals first along with hoppy hints from Styrians. The texture is both dry and creamy and provides the beer with a fine balanced whole.
In order to taste this beer to the full, you can pour it in its 25cl or 50cl Karmeliet beer glass.
