De Dochter van der Korenaar – DDVDK to those in the know – is one of Belgium’s most respected Craft Breweries, blending traditional styles with modern techniques, like Fleur Sauvage a limited-edition barrel-aged Saison with sweet orange and apricot cereal tones.
The hazy gold body and white head give funky overripe peach and apricot with estery, peppery vanilla and peardrop yeast, while the light, slender body features complex oaky white wine and leaf-litter brett notes, with a deeper wild honey and lime marmalade character and a delicious earthiness that combine with the soft hops bitterness to make for a near-perfect Saison ensemble.
