The Trappist Abbey Engelszell presents its second symphony
saison / farmhouse
Chestnut brown, tan head, soft carbonation
Plum, cherry, candied orange, brown sugar
Sweet toffee malt, plum, orange, molasses, honey
elegant & spicy
This superb Belgian Ale is the second beer produced by the Trappist Abbaye at Stift Engelszell – Benno Trappistenbier - a symphony of ripe fruit and honey, candied orange and molasses flavours.
Pouring clear amber capped by an impressive white head, Benno Trappistenbier shares many of the qualities of Engelszell Gregorius, including sweet fruity honey notes while the roasted malt gives a subtle smoked character to the ensemble.
On the tongue there’s floral notes with dominant malt and Belgian yeast that reveal the full character of the beer. This excellent balance between strength and sweetness shows off the Abbaye’s brewing qualifications.
