A French Tripel with a gentle and lasting touch
Abbaye du Lys Triple is a golden Tripel from that fine batch of northern French brewers known as Les Brasseurs de Gayant. It is bottom fermented and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle.
As with most Abbey beers it sparkles a saintly gold topped with a fine white halo.
The aroma is fruity and aromatic with notes of lemon, caramel and wood.
The flavour is woody and malty with a grainy edge and a comforting mellowness leading to a light bitter finish.
