Brasserie Huyghe’s Mongozo Pils has won the accolade of World’s Best Gluten-Free Pils, as voted by a panel of some 40 experts. Produced by the Belgian brewery best known for its Delirium Tremens, this special Pils was selected from over 600 beers.
Pouring golden yellow with a fine white head, Mongozo Pils’s bouquet is crisp, with cereal, malt, herbs, and an attractive hops profile.
The taste is equally refined, with floral, hoppy, malty notes, set in a moderately carbonated, light body that offers a subtly bitter, dry finish.
