Chimay Rouge Première can be easily identified by its coppery colour, resplendent beneath its creamy white head. It has a light fruity apricot fragrance from the fermentation, giving it a refreshing, slightly bitter flavour.

This top fermented, bottle conditioned Trappist beer is unpasteurised, offering a harmonious blend of fruity scents that complement the range of malt, caramel and yeast notes equally discernible in the palate.
