A new Heavy Metal porter by Iron Maiden and Robinsons Brewery
Deep chestnut, ruby highlights
Malt, chocolate, fruit
Chocolate, malt, dried fruit
Trooper Red’n’Black is a new limited edition beer from the long-standing collaboration between Heavy Metal legends, Iron Maiden, and the superb Robinsons Brewery.
The third in the Trooper series after Trooper and last year’s Trooper 666, Robinsons now turns its hand to a porter.
With a higher alcohol content than its brothers in arms, the beer takes its name from its colour, but also from the song The Red and the Black from the album The Book of Souls.
Pouring deep chestnut with ruby highlights, and a fine off-white head, Red ‘n’ Black breathes thick, warming malt and chocolate scents. The palate is equally thick and equally rich, with more chocolate and fruit, accompanied by malt notes, set in a medium body with light carbonation that brings with it a dry, lightly bitter finish.
