Buckwheat Malt is a great alternative for your gluten-free beers. It has a colouring of 10 EBC, giving your beer a malty, hazelnut flavour. Its characteristics make it an ideal replacement for Barley Malt giving an extra layer of richness. However, it does not have any diastatic power. It is commonly used for brewing gluten-free beer. Maximum recommended dose is 40%.
You should store your Buckwheat Malt in a cool dry place for a maximum of 24 months. If the Malt has been milled, it should be used within 3 months to ensure the maximum flavour.
