“Weizen” are beers typically brewed in Germany and named after the word “Weizen” (wheat in German) used for brewing these beers.
To be granted the title “Weizen”, this beer must be brewed with malt containing at minimum 50% of wheat. These are usually beers pouring very pale colour and featuring a delicious refreshing taste.
The Krombacher Weizen in its 5L BeerTenter Keg can be used with a BeerTender dispenser or without any dispenser.
The Krombracher Weizen pours a straw yellow colour slightly cloudy and topped by a white head. It challenges the noses with fruity and spicy aromas of banana, citrus fruit and cloves along with scents of yeast. In the mouth, one will taste flavours of fruit with a distinctive presence of banana ester, a stronger presence of spices than in the nose. You’ll find flavours of cloves followed by pepper hints.
In the end, the Krombacher Weizen is a fine example of German Weizen, it is the single Weizen offered in a 5L Keg.
